Influenza season has arrived and activity is increasing across the US, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) weekly US influenza surveillance report.

Currently the cumulative hospitalization rate is higher than that for the entire 2020-2021 flu season, although still lower than rates seen at this time during several seasons preceding COVID-19.
