Now that over half of US adults aged ≥18 years are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and more states are scaling back public health measures meant to curb transmission, are Americans' growing less fearful and more hopeful?
To find out how Americans currently feel about the pandemic, Gallup recently conducted a web-based survey of 3572 US adults aged ≥18 years from May 18-23, 2021. Respondents are members of the Gallup Panel, a multimode Panel with approximately 100 000 members that has been collecting US adults' opinions about pressing issues since 2004.
