COVID-19 Vaccine Performance: What’s Currently Known?

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently updated its science brief on COVID-19 vaccines currently authorized for emergency use (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson), in which the agency synthesized the latest clinical trial data available through July 24, 2021. Data were added on vaccine efficacy and effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2 infection and SARS-CoV-2 variants, including the now dominant Delta variant.
