A Fit for Many: Storage, Shelf Life, and Ideal Patients

Opinion
Video

A panelist discusses how Neffy addresses unmet needs through superior temperature stability (tolerating up to 122°F for 3-4 days), extended shelf life (24-30 months), and needle-free administration that eliminates injection-related complications.

Safety Profile and Temperature Stability Advantages

Neffy demonstrated an excellent safety profile in clinical trials involving 700+ patients and over 1,000 administered doses, with no serious adverse events reported. Common side effects were infrequent, mild, and resolved quickly, including nasal discomfort, headache, rhinorrhea, throat irritation, and class-effect symptoms like jitteriness and tremor. The intranasal route eliminates needle-related complications such as injection site reactions, infections, and accidental needle injuries.

Temperature stability represents a significant advantage over traditional auto-injectors. While both device types should ideally be stored at room temperature, Neffy tolerates short excursions of 3-4 days at temperatures up to 122°F, making it suitable for outdoor activities and sports. This enhanced temperature tolerance addresses concerns about epinephrine degradation in hot conditions that frequently affect athletes and outdoor enthusiasts.
