The eruption had beenpresent for 2 to 3 weeks.A potassium hydroxide preparationrevealed fungal elements. Unlikea Candida infection of the groin, tineacruris usually is more confined andspares the scrotum. Oral and topicalketoconazole were given; the dermatophytosiscompletely resolved in3 weeks.
