A Teenage Boy with Leg Shame

Slideshow

A 13-year-old is teased at school because of several coin-sized shiny spots that have appeared on both shins and will not heal. Dx?

A 13-year-old boy asks his mother to take him to see the doctor because his peers are making fun of him -- specifically he is afraid to wear shorts to school because he is teased about lesions on his lower legs that have appeared and become worse over a period of about 3-4 months.Does the history offer any clues? What is your initial impression of the lesions? What is your diagnosis?
