Pleased With Primary Care, Not With Costs

Slideshow

See what surveyed patients had to say about their physicians, the ACA, and the rising price of health care.

The vast majority of patients are happy with their primary care physicians (PCPs), a new national patient survey says. More than 9 of 10 US adults who responded to the Physicians Foundation 2016 Patient Survey noted high levels of satisfaction with their PCP. Yet, patients expressed major concerns about their ability to manage health care costs and medical debt. Because of rising costs, many who saw a PCP for their most recent routine examination are cutting back on health care products and services-adhering less than fully to treatment plans, skipping routine check-ups, and neglecting to fill medication prescriptions. To see what patients had to say about their PCP and the rising price of health care, click above for highlights-and lowlights-of the survey findings.
