Overlooked Lesion?

It appears that he may also have a typical nodular basal cell carcinoma on the bridge of the nose near the medial aspect of the orbit (Figure1).

You are correct. The nodular lesion at the bridge of the nose (Figure 2) was recently excised and in fact was a nodular basal cell carcinoma. The patient said it had been present for “at least 20 to 30 years” and had never changed in size or ulcerated. Because of the lesion’s location, it was removed by shave biopsy in the office with lidocaine anesthesia. The base was electrodessicated as well. The patient will be followed closely for any sign of recurrence.
