OSHA COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard for Health Care Workers

On June 10, 2021, the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued its long-awaited Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) that is aimed at protecting individuals working in hazardous health care settings where patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 are treated. This includes employees in hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities; emergency responders; home health care workers, and employees in ambulatory care facilities.
