Is Meningococcal Vaccine Appropriate in a Child Younger Than 1 Year?

Two meningococcal vaccines are approved for use in children as young as 2 months, Menveo and MenHibrix. Menctra can be given to children as young as 9 months. The CDC and AAP do not recommend their routine use, but do encourage the use of meningococcal vaccines in certain situations.
