Heart disease is the number one cause of death in both men and women in the United States. In 2020, the CDC estimates that 697 000 of American deaths were due to heart disease; coronary heart disease (CHD) was responsible for more than half (55%) of those deaths. An ageing population, diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity are some risk factors.

Question 1. What percentage of deaths from CHD occur in persons younger than age 65 years?
