Best Medical Apps Reviewed on iMedicalApps

Article

Here’s a review of 6 medical apps that might make your life a little easier.

These are the interesting medical apps that were reviewed by the iMedicalApps physician team recently:

CDC measles guidelines: Dr Iltifat Husain shows how the app AgileMD can be used to get the latest CDC guidelines. AgileMD is free to download, and is offering the CDC’s latest updates for free within the app. It’s a great way to keep up with the CDC’s new advisories in mobile form.

Med Pearls: Dr Douglas Maurer reviews an application that reminds physicians to practice evidence-based medicine. The application offers evidence-based practices you can select and also gives you the ability to upload your own content. The interesting thing about the app is its ability to send physicians email reminders to make sure they’re practicing evidence-based medicine.

PubMed apps: Megan von Isenburg, an academic librarian, discusses two PubMed apps physicians should consider using. She does a great job of showing how these apps can be used.

DrawMD Pediatrics: Dr Eli Sprecher reviews a free app that helps pediatricians convey medical pathology to pediatric patients and their families. The app can be used at the bedside with families.

Free OB Wheels : Dr Iltifat Husain reviews two OB Wheels that are free to download. The OB Wheels can be used at bedside to determine gestational age based on the last menstrual period.
